Chad A. Johnson
is a founding partner of Hellmuth & Johnson, PLLC. He practices in the areas of real estate and business law and represents businesses, corporations and limited liability entities, with emphasis on representing condominium, townhouse, cooperative and other community associations.
Mr. Johnson is licensed to practice law in the state and federal courts in Minnesota. The Minnesota State Bar Association has certified him as a Real Property Law Specialist, a designation held by a select few Minnesota attorneys. He is a member of the Hennepin County Bar Association, the Real Property Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
In 1999 and 2000, Johnson was named a "Rising Star" in the legal profession by Minnesota Law & Politics magazine. For six consecutive years (2001-2006), Minnesota Law & Politics has recognized him as a "Super Lawyer" and a member of the top 5% of attorneys in Minnesota. He is also BV® Peer Review Rated from Martindale-Hubbell.
Hellmuth & Johnson, PLLC is an active participant in the Minnesota Chapter of the Community Associations Institute (CAI). Mr. Johnson served two terms on the CAI Board of Directors. He has also served CAI as Chairman of the Legal Committee (1994), Secretary (1998), Treasurer (1999), President-Elect (2000) and President (2001). He frequently speaks at CAI’s many educational programs. Mr. Johnson also shares his expertise with fellow attorneys through continuing education programs and seminars, and is the chief author and editor of the quarterly publication The Authority on Real Estate and contributing author of the quarterly publication The Authority on Community Associations.
Mr. Johnson obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. He completed his undergraduate studies at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.
